This drill focused on disaster response in various fields, such as situation propagation led by the in-house fire brigade, initial fire suppression, and rescue tactics, by simulating a fire outbreak in the tire logistics warehouse and a rescue situation involving a person trapped on the rooftop.

Gwangsan Fire Station aimed to improve the understanding of on-site personnel by providing special training on facility status and operating systems through an on-site inspection of Kumho Tire Gwangju Plant, and to enhance the initial response capabilities of the in-house fire brigade through the joint fire drill.

Shin Saeng-gyun, Head of the 119 Disaster Response Division, said, “Taking the recent fire at Hankook Tire Daejeon Plant as a lesson, we will maintain vigilance against disasters and continue safety education and organic training with the in-house fire brigade to ensure swift on-site response in actual situations.”
