It is the beaming smile of veteran Yang Hee-young.

'9 Under Par' Yang Hee-young: "It Was a Day When Everything Went Well" Yang Hee-young scored a daily best of 9-under 63 in the third round of the Drive On Championship.

On the 25th (local time), Yang Hee-young shot a daily best 9-under-par 63 in the third round of the LPGA Drive On Championship (total prize money $1.75 million) held at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club (par 72, 6,526 yards) in Gold Canyon, Arizona, USA. She jumped from a tie for 53rd place the previous day to a tie for 7th place, three strokes behind the leader (13-under-par 203). Her green hit rate of 88.89% and 25 putts stood out.

Yang said, "Today, my second shots were better than my tee shots," adding, "Also, my putting was really good." She smiled brightly, saying, "I could read the lines well and matched the speed perfectly. It was one of those days when everything went well."

Yang Hee-young debuted on the LPGA Tour in 2008 and has won a total of four times. However, she has not added a trophy in nearly four years since winning the Honda LPGA Thailand in 2019. Yang said, "When my arm injury was severe, I wondered mentally how much longer I could continue. Playing well like today has given me confidence, and I now have the desire to work even harder going forward."
