Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Goes All Out to Strengthen Basic Academic Skills Officers' Competencies

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 24th that it held the 'Basic Academic Skills Support Education Office Staff Capacity Building Workshop' at the Naju Duplex Hotel, with participation from supervisors in charge of basic academic skills and learning psychology counselors.

This workshop consisted of ▲ understanding and utilizing the basic academic skills diagnosis and correction system ▲ discussion of major policies related to basic academic skills ▲ Wechsler Intelligence Scale ▲ Korean language teaching methods.


Particularly, emphasis was placed on understanding and utilizing the basic academic skills diagnosis and correction system and strengthening the capabilities of learning psychology counselors.


No Myung-sook, Director of the Elementary and Early Childhood Education Division, stated, “Ensuring basic academic skills plays a very significant role in the comprehensive learning clinic of the education support office,” and added, “We will continuously provide guidance and support to enhance the capacity and policy understanding of education support office staff.”
