Major Tourist Attractions and Local Specialties - Color-Linked Tourism Promotion
Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will operate the Uiryeong Kalra Store, a tourism promotion center, for three days from the 23rd to the 25th at the 11th '2023 Gyeongnam Tourism Expo.'
The 2023 Gyeongnam Tourism Expo is held at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO), jointly hosted by Gyeongnam Province and Changwon City, and organized by K&CN.
Last year, the county promoted the nine scenic spots of Uiryeong with a pop-up store concept called 'Uiryeong Store' at the Gyeongnam Tourism Expo and won the Excellence Award at the Gyeongnam Tourism Product Development Awards.
This year, they are promoting Uiryeong tourism by linking major tourist attractions, local specialties, and colors under the name 'Uiryeong Kalra Store.'
The Patriotic Righteous Army (Hongui General Festival) is associated with 'Red,' Hanusan Azalea with 'Deep Pink,' the Patriotic Righteous Army Forest Waterside Park with 'Fuchsia Pink,' Manggae Rice Cake with 'Mint Green,' the Cloud Bridge with 'Blue,' and the Uiryeong Rich Festival with 'Yellow,' promoting major tourist spots by linking them with colors.
This approach resonated well with the MZ generation, who value images and individuality and seek to find their own colors.
Ha Jong-deok, Deputy Governor of Uiryeong, who visited the expo, said, "We hope many people will visit Uiryeong, the hometown of the Patriotic Righteous Army, where diverse attractions, beautiful scenery, and the energy of wealth abound as much as the vibrant colors."
