Applications Accepted from the 27th to the 14th of Next Month

Full Engine Replacement Cost Support (Up to 19.29 Million KRW)

Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that it will promote the ‘2023 Construction Machinery Engine Replacement Support Project’ to reduce air pollutants emitted from old construction machinery.

The county plans to invest about 160 million won in budget to fully support the engine replacement costs (up to 19.29 million won) for 10 old construction machines.

The support targets are forklifts, excavators, loaders, and rollers registered in Hampyeong-gun as of the announcement date, which were manufactured before 2004 and equipped with Tier-1 or lower engines.

However, the machines must not have been fitted with emission reduction devices or converted to low-emission engines through government subsidy support.

The application period is from March 27 to April 14, and applications can be submitted by visiting the county office’s Environmental Management Division or through the vehicle emission website.

The county plans to select the final support recipients by reflecting priorities such as livelihood type (recipients of basic livelihood security or lower-income groups), whether the construction machinery is for business use, manufacturing year, and initial registration date.

Owners of construction machinery who receive subsidies must operate the machinery compulsorily for two years from the date of the engine replacement structural modification inspection.
