KMI Korea Medical Institute announced on the 24th that it has opened and started operating the 8th nationwide KMI Health Screening Center in Seogwipo City, Jeju Island.
Located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Medical Service Center within Jeju Healthcare Town, the KMI Jeju Screening Center spans 3,409㎡ (1,031 pyeong).
With over 40 staff members, including 4 specialists, the center offers a variety of screening programs such as national health screenings (corporate screenings), national cancer screenings, comprehensive screenings, and special health screenings. Additionally, it has fully implemented the ‘KMI Intelligent Comprehensive Health Screening System (KICS)’ and established a smart screening system including RFID technology.
At the ‘KMI Jeju Screening Center Opening Ceremony’ held on the morning of the 24th at the Jeju Healthcare Town Medical Service Center, about 100 distinguished guests attended, including National Assembly member Wi Seong-gon, JDC Chairman Yang Young-cheol, Seogwipo Mayor Lee Jong-woo, and Jeju United player Koo Ja-chul.
During the opening ceremony, a ‘Free Health Screening Presentation Ceremony’ was also held to improve health welfare for multicultural families residing in Seogwipo City and vulnerable groups in healthcare.
Kim Chang-dong, Director of the KMI Jeju Screening Center, stated, “The Jeju Screening Center is expected to provide upgraded medical services to Jeju residents and examinees through a user-friendly space design and smart screening system, living up to the slogan ‘Healthy for Life from Seoul to Jeju.’”
