SwitchOne, a foreign exchange fintech startup invested by Busan United Technology Holdings, is conducting an event for customers opening Hana Bank accounts.
Busan United Technology Holdings announced that SwitchOne, in partnership with Hana Bank, is running the "Satalla" event, which gives $4 to customers who open a new "Million Dollar Account."
SwitchOne is a startup that provides online currency exchange services for US dollars (USD) and Japanese yen (JPY). Since its official service launch in July last year, it has rapidly grown and surpassed a cumulative transaction volume of 100 billion KRW.
Anyone who signs up for SwitchOne can participate in this event, and the first 1,000 customers who open a new Million Dollar Account will receive $4 after the event ends. Those who do not make it into the first 1,000 will receive $1.
Jeong-A Seo, CEO of SwitchOne, said, "As the government is pushing to reform the previously closed foreign exchange system, we expect the demand for foreign currency accounts to increase further." She added, "In addition to the spot foreign exchange service, we plan to launch diversified foreign exchange services within the first half of the year."
