Strengthening Human Networks and Cooperation
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has established the Yeongdeok-gun Sejong Office at the Sejong Finance Center in Sejong City, where government ministries are concentrated, and officially began operations with an opening ceremony on the 23rd.
The Sejong Office is Yeongdeok-gun’s plan to build a cooperative system with government ministries to secure national support budgets, aiming to establish a human network for securing national funds and strengthen external cooperation.
In addition, the Sejong Office will focus on strengthening cooperation with central government officials and expatriates from Yeongdeok, monitoring government ministry movements and various public contest projects, supporting national budget activities, and promoting county administration.
Recently, Yeongdeok-gun has prioritized securing national support budgets to improve financial independence, expand social infrastructure, and equip growth engines for the future. Under the leadership of County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol, efforts have been devoted to strengthening internal capabilities and building human networks.
Accordingly, education on understanding national projects and securing national funds was conducted, and two strategic meetings for securing national funds involving all departments were held on the 27th of last month and the 20th of this month, proposing 360.6 billion KRW for national and provincial support projects in 2024 and additionally discovering 34.7 billion KRW worth of public contest projects.
Furthermore, on the 8th of last month, external cooperation officers composed of private experts from various fields such as administration, cultural tourism, business, agriculture and fisheries, trade, and marketing were recruited and appointed. They will serve as a bridge for securing national funds through collaboration with staff stationed at the Sejong Office in the future.
Governor Kim Gwang-yeol stated, “Securing national funds is an absolute value that cannot be compromised for the future and sustainable growth of Yeongdeok-gun. The opening of this Sejong Office will serve as a catalyst to realize this.” He added, “Through the Sejong Office, we will strengthen the human network between government officials and expatriates and further develop Yeongdeok-gun’s administrative capabilities to ensure a definite competitive edge in securing national funds.”
Since Governor Kim Gwang-yeol’s inauguration, Yeongdeok-gun has been selected for various public contest projects, securing a total project budget of 103.2 billion KRW, including national funds.
