Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that it will operate the Yeonggwang Healing Tour, a healing trip featuring historical, cultural, and natural attractions, starting from the 8th of next month.
This tour was newly launched this year to coincide with the 2022-2023 Jeollanam-do Visit Year, aiming to provide convenience to tourists and maximize the effect of attracting visitors by showcasing Yeonggwang's hidden charms.

The tour will be operated 16 times on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from the 8th of next month until November 25th, targeting external tourists. It departs at 9:30 AM from the bus stop in front of Gwangju U-Square (bus terminal) and at 10:00 AM from the intercity bus stop at Gwangju Songjeong Station.
The course includes the Mulmusan Happy Forest Hwangto Trail, Wonbulgyo Yeongsan Sacred Site, Maegandang Old House, and Bulgapsa Temple, offering a healing course where visitors can take a break from their tiring daily lives while experiencing a thousand years of history, culture, and nature. Lunch is provided as a Yeonggwang Gulbi (dried yellow corvina) set meal, allowing visitors to also enjoy the taste of Yeonggwang.
The fee includes bus fare, lunch, and snacks, costing 30,000 KRW for adults (ages 19 to 64). Groups (20 or more people), seniors (65 and older), and children and adolescents (ages 5 to 18) pay 28,000 KRW. Infants under 5 years old are free.
The tour operates on a reservation basis. Reservations can be made by phone through Yehyang Express Travel Agency or online after identity verification via the Yeonggwang Healing Tour menu on the county’s cultural tourism website. One person can book for multiple people as a representative.
Reservations close at 5 PM the day before the tour, and early closure may occur as it is limited to the first 40 people.
A county official said, “This tour will be a great opportunity for tourists to experience the previously unknown charms of Yeonggwang. In celebration of the 2022-2023 Jeollanam-do Visit Year, we will actively promote the tour to contribute to the revitalization of the tourism industry in Jeollanam-do and the county through increased tourist participation.”
