The KOSPI index is slightly down due to selling pressure from foreigners and institutions.


As of 9:25 AM on the 24th, the KOSPI index stands at 2420.71, down 0.16% (3.77 points) from the previous trading day. The index opened the session at 2421.27, down 0.13% (3.21 points).


Individual investors are net buying stocks worth 168.1 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions are selling stocks worth 77.9 billion KRW and 94.0 billion KRW respectively.


Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics (0.96%), SK Hynix (1.36%), Samsung Biologics (0.50%), and Samsung Electronics Preferred (0.38%) are showing gains. On the other hand, LG Energy Solution (-1.04%), Samsung SDI (-2.28%), LG Chem (-1.97%), Hyundai Motor (-0.89%), and Kia (-0.38%) are declining.


At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is up 0.90% (7.34 points) from the previous trading day, standing at 819.53. The index opened at 820.16, up 0.98% (7.97 points) from the previous day.


By investor type, individuals are again buying stocks worth 298.6 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions are selling stocks worth 217.1 billion KRW and 86.6 billion KRW respectively.


Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, EcoPro BM (0.43%), EcoPro (1.21%), Celltrion Healthcare (1.40%), Celltrion Pharm (5.04%), Kakao Games (0.61%), and Pearl Abyss (1.76%) are showing strength. Meanwhile, L&F (-2.40%), HLB (-0.83%), and Rainbow Robotics (-3.29%) are declining.
