"Sorry for causing trouble... I will not use drugs anymore"
Jeon Woo-won, the grandson of former President Jeon Du-hwan, who was hospitalized after taking drugs while continuing to expose the illegal slush funds of the Jeon Du-hwan family through a YouTube live broadcast, shared an update on his condition.
On the 24th, Jeon posted on his social media (SNS), "I was involuntarily hospitalized until today and have now been discharged," adding, "I sincerely apologize for causing trouble due to my irresponsible behavior. Do not worry, this will never happen again."
Earlier, on the 17th, Jeon consumed a large amount of a substance suspected to be drugs during a YouTube live broadcast. Afterwards, he appeared incoherent and even caused a disturbance, leading to the sudden interruption of the broadcast when men who appeared to be police officers arrived and restrained him.
Jeon was then transported to a hospital for treatment and was reportedly in an unconscious state for a time.
He said, "Last Thursday, shortly after people entered my house, I fainted. My lungs stopped functioning for over three hours, and my airway was closed. Intubation saved me, and when I opened my eyes on Friday afternoon, a tube was inserted deep in my throat, I couldn’t breathe, and my entire body was covered in bruises."
He added, "I will not use drugs anymore," and expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for the helping hands, love, and concern you have shown."
