Part of a multi-family house in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, collapsed, causing residents to evacuate urgently.
According to Gangbuk-gu Office and residents, at around 5:23 PM on the 23rd, part of the exterior wall of a four-story villa building in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, fell off. Although there were no casualties from the debris of the exterior wall, 21 residents evacuated the villa out of safety concerns and are staying at a nearby lodging facility.
Gangbuk-gu Office called in experts, including structural engineers, to inspect the building for any abnormalities, and it was initially determined that the framework was not damaged.
The district office stated, "We will take temporary measures such as installing safety nets to prevent further falling of the exterior wall and plan to conduct a detailed inspection of the building."
