"I Support My Hometown Uiryeong"
On the 23rd, Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam announced that Jeong Young-sik, chairman of Beomhan Group, donated the highest amount of 5 million won to the 'Hometown Love Donation Fund.'
Chairman Jeong, a native of Burim-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Korea Maritime and Ocean University. In 1990, he founded Beomhan Industry, which includes Beomhan Fuel Cell, Beomhan Automobile, Beomhan Motors, and Beomhan Technology Institute, representing South Korea's hydrogen industry.

He also practices corporate social responsibility annually through sharing with organizations such as Beautiful Store, Green Umbrella Foundation, and schools.
Chairman Jeong said, "I am glad to support my hometown Uiryeong through the Hometown Love Donation System," adding, "I hope this will contribute to the development of Uiryeong and the revitalization of the local economy."
County Governor Oh Tae-wan said, "Thank you for not forgetting your hometown Uiryeong and coming to help," and added, "We will do our best for the development of Uiryeong and the welfare of residents so that the support and interest of donors will not be in vain."
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate a certain amount up to 5 million won per year to local governments other than their place of residence, providing tax deductions and return gifts. The donations are used as funds for projects that improve residents' welfare.
