Korea Elevator Safety Agency Holds First 'Elevator Certification Technology Seminar' of the Year

23 Companies, 38 Certification Practitioners Attended

The Elevator Safety Technology Institute, an affiliate of the Korea Elevator Safety Agency, has decided to hold the 'Elevator Certification Technology Seminar' four times this year, and held the first seminar from the 22nd to the 23rd at the Agency's Gyeonggi-Gangwon Regional Headquarters training center.

This seminar was attended by 38 certification practitioners from 23 small and medium-sized elevator companies and focused mainly on practical training related to elevator mechanical design.

The first elevator certification technical support seminar to enhance the competency of certification practitioners in small and medium-sized elevator companies was held from the 22nd to the 23rd at the Korea Elevator Safety Agency Gyeonggi-Gangwon Regional Headquarters.

The Agency plans to hold the 'Elevator Certification Technology Seminar' four times this year, including this seminar, to support small and medium-sized elevator companies that face difficulties in obtaining certification due to their small business scale and lack of technical capabilities.

This year's elevator certification technology seminar was organized as an advanced course on mechanical and electrical parts, reflecting the requests of companies that attended last year. Additionally, courses on raw materials, processes, and product audits were introduced to help prepare for quality control and factory inspections.

The seminar is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises that want to obtain elevator certification or are in the process of acquiring certification. Applications can be submitted via email by referring to the National Elevator Information System or the notices on the Agency and related organizations' websites.

Jang Gil-woong, Director of the Elevator Safety Technology Institute, said, "The elevator certification technology seminar is a great opportunity not only for the smooth landing of the certification system but also for improving technical skills, so we hope many small and medium-sized elevator companies will actively participate."
