Fire at Gwangju Bus Terminal... Over 10 People Evacuated Urgently

A fire broke out at a restaurant located in the Youth Square Gwangju General Bus Terminal in Gwangcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and was extinguished within 7 minutes.

According to the fire department on the 23rd, the fire occurred around 9:50 a.m. at a restaurant inside the bus terminal in Gwangcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.

Due to the fire, the employees and about 10 terminal users evacuated, and no casualties were reported.

Some kitchen equipment and the kitchen inside the restaurant were scorched by the fire.

The fire is believed to have started when the restaurant employees lit charcoal while preparing for business, causing sparks to fly from the ventilation fan.

The fire department is investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
