Pukyong National University Holds Special Lecture on 'International Trade Order and Economic Security'

On the 22nd, Pukyong National University held a special lecture at a first-floor classroom in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business Building, inviting Professor Jeong In-gyo from Inha University, head of the Economic Security Subcommittee of the National Economic Advisory Council, and Professor Ryu Ye-ri from Gyeongsang National University, an advisory committee member.


Under the theme of "International Trade Order and Economic Security," this event was organized to strengthen the capabilities of students from Pukyong National University's Department of International Trade, who are active in the Busan City University Student Trade Support Group, as well as graduate students from the Department of International Trade and Logistics, tailored to the local community's needs as young trade professionals (YTP).


Professor Jeong In-gyo, who delivered a special lecture that day, serves as the chairman of the Private Advisory Committee on Trade Negotiations, while Professor Ryu Ye-ri is an expert in the field of trade, having served as a specialist member of the National Intellectual Property Committee and as an associate researcher at the Korea Legislation Research Institute.

Professor Jeong In-gyo gave a lecture on the "New International Economic Order," and Professor Ryu Ye-ri spoke on "China's Economic Security Strategy." The lectures emphasized the importance of strengthening capabilities related to economic security amid the ongoing US-China hegemonic competition, which is shaking the existing global economic order.


Professor Yoo Jeong-ho from Pukyong National University's Department of International Trade, who organized this special lecture, said, "We expect that undergraduate and graduate students engaged in export support activities and related research will be able to develop a broad perspective and capabilities to understand changes in economic security and the trade environment through this special lecture."
