Port tours are an inbound business of international cruise ships. On the morning of the 19th at 10 a.m., the Diamond Princess, which departed from Yokohama, Japan as its home port and called at Oita and Kagoshima, docked at the cruise-only pier at Gangjeong Port in Seogwipo, marking the resumption of tours that had been suspended since December 2019.

The Princess Diamond is a mega-ship with 17 decks and a maximum capacity of 3,240 people (including 1,100 crew members). The port tours were operated with five different courses, including four types of full-day and half-day tours. To ensure foreign tourists did not face language barriers, guides fluent in English and Japanese accompanied the tours to showcase the charms of Jeju.

Participants in the tour program visited Jeju’s natural attractions such as Seongsan Ilchulbong, Oedolgae, Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, and Sangumburi, as well as famous tourist spots including Olle Market (Lee Jung-seop Street), Yeomiji Botanical Garden, Yakcheonsa Temple, and Seongeup Folk Village, before departing Jeju at 7 p.m.

Lotte Tour Development, the exclusive travel agency for port tours of world-renowned cruise lines such as Costa and Princess, conducted 127 port calls over three years from 2017 until before COVID-19, providing port tours to approximately 93,000 people in Jeju, Busan, Yeosu, and other locations.

Lotte Tour Development stated, "Including this port call, we have signed exclusive contracts for a total of 25 port tours with Princess Cruises this year (14 in Jeju and 11 in Busan)." They added, "In the future, we expect synergy among our business divisions, including casinos, hotels, and travel, by incorporating the Jeju Dream Tower complex resort into the tour courses."
