‘Visiting Jeonnam Happiness Bus’ Checks Residents' Health

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 22nd that the "Visiting Jeonnam Happiness Bus" visited Baekhak Village in Maekpo, Samhyang-eup on the 20th and provided customized services.

The Happiness Bus, operated by the Jeonnam Social Service Agency under the commission of Jeollanam-do, is equipped with equipment that allows residents to easily receive health checkups. It visits remote and mountainous villages in Jeonnam with limited accessibility four times a week to provide health, welfare, and medical services.

Following its visit to Sayang-dong Village in Illo, the Happiness Bus visited Baekhak Village in Maekpo, Samhyang, offering enriched services such as hairdressing, hand and foot massages, nail care, blood pressure and blood sugar measurement, stress tests, dementia screening, and movie screenings, taking care of the residents' health.

An elderly resident in their 80s who received the services said, "I was unable to go far due to mobility issues, but I got my hair dyed and nails cared for," adding, "I feel young in both body and mind and hope to meet again next time."

Governor Kim San expressed, "I deeply thank the staff and volunteers of the Jeonnam Happiness Bus," and said, "We will do our best to provide welfare services that residents can feel and be satisfied with."

Meanwhile, next week, the bus is scheduled to visit Naedong Village in Unnam to bring happiness to the elderly.
