Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 22nd that it will exclusively supply high-performance tires for test drive vehicles at the ‘BMW Driving Center,’ a driving complex cultural space operated by the German premium automaker BMW Group Korea.
Since the opening of the BMW Driving Center in 2014, Hankook Tire has supplied tires for all test drive vehicles used on the center’s track and driving programs for nine consecutive years.
Starting with the premium compact car brand MINI in 2011, Hankook Tire has been supplying original equipment tires (OET) for popular BMW models including the ‘1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Series,’ sports utility vehicle (SUV) models ‘X1, X3, X5,’ and the flagship model ‘New 7 Series.’
Additionally, in 2021, Hankook Tire supplied original equipment tires for BMW’s high-performance M brand SUV models ‘X3 M’ and ‘X4 M,’ demonstrating its innovative technology in the high-performance tire sector. In 2022, the portfolio was expanded to include BMW’s first pure electric Gran Coupe, the ‘i4.’
In January of this year and July of last year, Hankook Tire and BMW Group Korea conducted two brand collaboration projects, promoting the global premium brand images of both companies to customers worldwide.
Based on the high-performance tire technology accumulated through supplying original equipment tires, Hankook Tire plans to provide customers visiting the ‘BMW Driving Center’ with opportunities to experience tire performance under extreme driving conditions.
