'Medical Korea 2023,' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and organized by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, will be held at COEX, Seoul, from the 23rd to the 24th.
Celebrating its 13th edition this year, Medical Korea is the largest global healthcare academic conference in Korea, attracting global health and medical experts from around the world. Returning to an in-person format after three years, this year's theme is "Journey for a Better Daily Life and Future."
Amid the cyclical outbreaks of infectious diseases and the digital transformation era, Medical Korea aims to strengthen its brand and serve as a platform to present a complete return to daily life and future vision for people worldwide through the revitalization of the global medical tourism industry.
This year's Medical Korea will consist of an opening ceremony and merit award ceremony, various academic conferences (4 forums, 6 seminars), business meetings, the Medical Korea promotional hall, and G2G talks.
The opening ceremony will include a flower offering ceremony, congratulatory speeches, merit awards, and keynote speeches. The first keynote speaker, futurist Jamie Metzl, will discuss the future of the medical industry through innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), genetics, and biotechnology. The second keynote speaker, Hwang Hee, CEO of Kakao Healthcare, will lecture on the future of digital healthcare, focusing on the efficiency of medical services through mobile devices and their role as platforms.
At the academic conference, discussions will focus on restoring the number of foreign patients to pre-COVID-19 levels and exploring ways to revitalize Korean healthcare through the expansion of overseas medical ventures. Business meetings will also be held to provide a communication platform between overseas purchasing companies related to attracting foreign patients and overseas medical expansion, and the domestic health industry.
