Participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program by natives from Damyang continues.
On the 21st, according to the county, attorney Cho Hyun-ho, a former chief judge, and Go Gil-seok, the representative director of Suwan Central Hospital, generously contributed hometown love donations, expressing their affection for their hometown.
Attorney Cho Hyun-ho is from Wolsan-myeon, Damyang-gun. He passed the 39th Judicial Examination in 1997, completed the Judicial Research and Training Institute, served as a prosecutor, and recently opened a law office near the Gwangju District Court and Prosecutor's Office on the 10th, where he is currently active.
Attorney Cho said, "I am glad to share my hometown love with Damyang, where I was born and raised in Wolsan-myeon," adding, "I hope the donation will contribute to the development of Damyang and the revitalization of the local economy."
Suwan Central Hospital, opened in 2015, is a general hospital with 226 beds, providing medical services in orthopedics, pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, radiology, anesthesiology, and pain medicine.
Last year, Suwan Central Hospital was selected as one of Korea's Top 100 Best Companies for Jobs, won the grand prize in the Work-Life Balance Excellence Contest hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in government awards.
Representative Director Go Gil-seok said, "I hope the donation will be meaningfully used to support vulnerable groups and welfare for residents," and added, "I will strive to share the good purpose of the Hometown Love Donation Program so that it can lead to a relay donation by doctors from Damyang."
County Governor Lee Byung-no expressed deep gratitude for the participation of natives from all over the country in the Hometown Love Donation Program, stating, "We will use the sincerity you have sent with great care so that it will not be in vain."
Meanwhile, Damyang-gun currently offers 14 types of thank-you gifts, including rice, Korean beef, tourism and cultural products, and gift certificates. They are currently recruiting suppliers for the second round of thank-you gifts and plan to discover highly satisfactory local agricultural specialties, tourism products, and experiential content that evoke the feeling of hometown.
