This evaluation meeting was planned to improve the conditions of Ulleung-gun, which possesses abundant excellent specialty resources but lacks diversity in processed products, by developing and promoting processed products with high added value and various functionalities, and gradually transferring the technology to the private sector to establish a solid foundation.

Nam Han-kwon, the mayor of Ulleung-gun, said, “We hope that the research and development of various processed products using Ulleungdo’s unique specialty crops will lead to processing startups, thereby strengthening agricultural competitiveness and revitalizing the local economy.”
