Yeongju City Operates 'Living One Week' Program

Support for Accommodation and Experience Fees for Tourists Staying 3 to 6 Nights

Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province will operate the ‘Living One Week’ program again this year to promote stay-type tourism.

This program targets tourists residing outside the Yeongju area who travel to Yeongju for a minimum of 3 nights and a maximum of 6 nights.


The support conditions are ▲using accommodations within the city ▲visiting or participating in at least 5 tourist attractions or experience programs ▲posting travel reviews and promotional content including the hashtags #YeongjuTravel #LivingOneWeek #YeongjuMustVisit on offline media such as newspapers and broadcasts or online media such as SNS and blogs.


The support amount covers actual expenses up to ▲30,000 KRW per person per night for accommodation ▲20,000 KRW per person per day for experience fees (including meal costs), with an additional ▲10,000 KRW for accommodation and ▲5,000 KRW for experience fees for each additional person. The support limit for one person for 6 nights is ▲180,000 KRW for accommodation and ▲120,000 KRW for experience fees.


To participate in the program, applicants must submit a travel plan to the city at least 7 days before the trip and submit a travel report within 20 days after the trip ends. Detailed information including required documents can be found in the city’s website announcement section.


Jung Gyo-wan, Director of Tourism Development, said, “We will actively strive to establish Yeongju as a stay-type tourist destination through the operation of the Living One Week program, which can showcase hidden attractions and charm.”
