Feel the Majestic Architectural Beauty at Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in the Pond

The Cultural Heritage Administration's Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office will operate four special tours of Gyeonghoeru daily from next month until October (excluding July).

Feel the Majestic Architectural Beauty at Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in the Pond

This is an opportunity to experience the grandeur of architecture harmonizing with the pond. Gyeonghoeru, a national treasure, is a two-story wooden structure built on the pond. It was used as a space where the king held banquets for his officials or entertained envoys. From the second floor, visitors can enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view, with the scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace to the east and the beautiful Inwangsan Mountain to the west.

Since 2010, the Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office has welcomed visitors through special tours. A professional guide leads the tour for 30 to 40 minutes, sharing related historical information. Visits are operated by advance reservation. Applications will be accepted from the 25th on the Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office website. The maximum number of visitors per session is thirty. Children aged seven and older can participate.
