Robot Startup Newbility Secures Investment from Samsung

Attracting Investment Worth 3 Billion KRW... Total Cumulative Investment Approximately 30 Billion KRW

Robot Startup Newbility Secures Investment from Samsung Newbie awarded the CES Innovation Award

Newbility, an indoor and outdoor autonomous driving robot company led by CEO Sangmin Lee, has received investment from Samsung. Leveraging this investment, Newbility plans to establish a foothold for its global business expansion.

On the 21st, Newbility announced that it secured 3 billion KRW in investment from Samsung Venture Investment. Including this investment, Newbility's total accumulated funding has reached approximately 30 billion KRW.

Newbility has been recognized for rapidly enhancing its service competitiveness by accumulating urban driving data centered around the autonomous driving robot "Newbee," which won the 'CES 2023' Innovation Award, and the robot platform as a service "Newbeego." Instead of using expensive LiDAR, Newbee opted for a cost-efficient camera-based autonomous driving solution, with both software and hardware developed in-house by Newbility.

Based on this investment, Newbility plans to focus on global business efforts, including entering key overseas markets such as Japan, Europe, and the United States, as well as establishing production and operation bases in Southeast Asia.

CEO Sangmin Lee of Newbility stated, "We will do our best to rapidly improve product mass production and expand our service areas going forward."
