Additional Energy Savings Rate Beyond Energy Grade 1
New Product Lineup Expanded to a Total of 27 Models in the First Half of the Year

Samsung Electronics unveiled its 2023 BESPOKE home appliance lineup on the 21st.

The new BESPOKE products are characterized by significantly reduced energy consumption compared to previous models through high-efficiency core components.

By applying ultra-precision processing technology at the level of aircraft manufacturing to achieve maximum efficiency compressors, and using digital AI inverters that combine digital control and AI technology, Samsung operates a total of 57 'high-efficiency energy-saving' models that exceed the highest domestic energy standard, the 'Energy Consumption Efficiency Grade 1' minimum criteria.

The BESPOKE Grande AI washing machine boasts up to 30% higher energy efficiency compared to the Grade 1 minimum standard, and the BESPOKE refrigerator 4-door model is up to 22% more efficient than the Grade 1 minimum standard. Air conditioners, which consume a lot of electricity in summer, use 10% less energy than the Grade 1 minimum standard.

By managing BESPOKE appliances using 'SmartThings Energy,' an energy management solution based on SmartThings, additional energy savings are possible. Using the 'AI Saving Mode' feature within the service can reduce power consumption by up to 70% more.

Additionally, the new products have significantly upgraded AI functions in both hardware and software aspects, enhancing user convenience.

The 2023 stick vacuum cleaner new model, 'BESPOKE Jet AI,' delivers powerful performance with the world's highest suction power of 280 watts (W), and its 'AI Mode' recognizes floor conditions such as carpet, wood floor, and mats, as well as situations where the brush lifts off the floor during movement, optimizing suction power and improving battery usage efficiency. When a phone rings during cleaning, the SmartThings service will notify the user of incoming calls on the LCD display and pause operation; this feature will be provided through a software update in the first half of the year.

The 2023 BESPOKE home appliances will expand to a total of 27 models with three additional products in the first half of the year. Starting with the BESPOKE refrigerator in 2019, the BESPOKE lineup grew to 24 models last year and will expand to 27 models this year.

Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics' DX Division, said, "This year, we will add eco-friendliness, high efficiency, and hyper-connectivity to the existing BESPOKE home to apply the BESPOKE life concept and provide customized solutions tailored to individual lifestyles. We will introduce a large number of ultra-high-efficiency products that reduce energy consumption beyond the Grade 1 minimum standard for energy consumption efficiency." He added, "All BESPOKE products released this year will be equipped with Wi-Fi so that more consumers can easily reduce power consumption."
