[Featured Stock] Studio Mir Benefits from Increasing Global Animation Production Demand

Studio Mir is showing strong performance in the early trading session.

On the 20th at 9:53 AM, Studio Mir was trading at 42,500 KRW, up 12.14% from the previous trading day. The company's stock price surged to 42,800 KRW during the session. This is attributed to analyses suggesting that the company will benefit from the increasing global demand for animation production.

Lee Sangheon, a researcher at Hi Investment & Securities, said, “Recently, there has been growing demand from game companies to produce animations to promote their own universes, leading to an increase in demand for animation content. The IP business is expected to accelerate in the future by expanding collaborations with other industries such as webtoons and web novels to secure verified IPs or jointly develop new IPs.”

Studio Mir, established in 2010, is a global animation general production company. Its strength lies in the ability to carry out all stages of production?pre-production, main production, and post-production?within the company. Through works like ‘Korea Legend’ and ‘Bundaks,’ it has gained recognition for both artistic quality and commercial success in the North American market. In December last year, it also supplied the Netflix animation adaptation of the Naver Webtoon original ‘Lookism.’
