Mizuno Golf has launched the new model of the global steady seller JPX, the ‘JPX923 Series’. It features four lineups?JPX923 Tour, Forged, Hot Metal, and Hot Metal Pro?designed to provide performance tailored to each swing type.
The JPX923 Series was developed through a long period of research and development, resulting in the proprietary fitting program ‘Shaft Optimizer 3D’. By analyzing the swings of 350,000 golfers from accumulated swing data, it focused on the ‘Swing DNA’ and created a perfect product lineup capable of meeting various performance demands from customers.
The core technology of the JPX923 Series is the upgraded ‘Stability Frame’. Weight distribution allows the head to have a single outer frame on the effective hitting surface. This is the secret to improving the accuracy of effective hits and providing excellent forgiveness and control performance even on off-center shots.
Additionally, a ‘V Chassis’ was added to increase stiffness in the top edge area. It helps achieve ideal ball flight and provides a smooth hitting feel. The ‘Harmonic Impact Technology’ enhances stiffness around the cavity and hitting surface. By reducing sound pressure in the high-frequency range, the hitting sound resonates longer.
The four types of irons are composed of heads made from three different materials according to golfers’ swing types. The JPX923 Tour irons use high-purity mild steel ‘1025E’, the JPX923 Forged irons use ‘Chromoly 4120’ and mild steel ‘1025E’, and the JPX923 Hot Metal and JPX923 Hot Metal Pro use high-strength ‘Chromoly 4335+’ material.
