Gyeongnam National University and Igloo Corporation Sign Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement

Recruitment of New Employees and Promotion of On-site Training

Gyeongnam National University has signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with Igloo Corporation to promote new employee recruitment and on-site training.


Founded in 1999, Igloo Corporation operates under the vision of "creating a trustworthy cyber world for many people," providing security solutions and services to numerous core information security institutions and companies.


The agreement, made on the 15th, promises mutual cooperation in ▲new employee recruitment and promotion of on-site training for current students ▲early employment, semester system, and necessary support related to on-site training for fourth-year second-semester students at Gyeongnam National University.

Through this agreement, Gyeongnam National University will collaborate with Igloo Corporation, which has led the domestic security market by introducing the country's first integrated security management (SIEM) solution, to help students acquire core competencies such as AI, big data, and cloud computing, and to nurture key talents who will lead the future security and data fields.


Lee Sang-hoon, Director of Talent Development, said, "It is meaningful to sign an agreement with Igloo Corporation, which has been developing extensive security and data businesses amid the global digital transformation trend, to foster future talents," adding, "I hope that Gyeongnam National University students with excellent capabilities will grow into talents and lead the future together with Igloo Corporation."


Attending the signing ceremony were Lee Sang-hoon, Director of Talent Development; Kim Eun-jung, Vice President of Igloo Corporation; Lee Sang-yong, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and faculty members; Professor Kim Jeong-kwon of the Department of Information and Communication AI Engineering; representatives from the Talent Development Office; and Director Lim Hyung-jun of Igloo Corporation, among others.
