The Love Scaling event, jointly organized by the Korean Academy of Periodontology, Hanyang Women's University, and Dongkook Pharmaceutical, is a talent donation activity that provides medical services such as oral examinations and scaling to neighbors who usually have difficulty visiting dental clinics.
The volunteer activity was conducted by teams consisting of members of the Korean Academy of Periodontology and dental hygiene students from Hanyang Women's University, who performed scaling (tartar removal) and tooth brushing education for participants with developmental disabilities at the Seongbundo Welfare Center. The Insadol Plus Love Volunteer Group supported the site by guiding participants, organizing movement and space, and providing lunch.
The Seongbundo Welfare Center is a community rehabilitation facility that operates educational programs covering all areas, including psychological and emotional stability, functions necessary for daily life, and skills required for community living, to help adults with intellectual and autism disabilities live independent lives.
A Dongkook Pharmaceutical official said, "We were pleased to participate in the Gum Day event, which strives to improve the gum health of the public," adding, "It was a meaningful time to reflect once again on neighbors in need of help while volunteering."
