Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do will present the cultural program "Fantastic Alice" at 10:30 AM on the 30th at the Jeongeupsa Arts Center.
According to the city on the 17th, "Fantastic Alice" is a performance selected through the "Culture Day" contest organized by the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association, and it is a show that the whole family can enjoy together.
This performance was planned and prepared as a special production to strengthen the content through collaboration with performing arts groups actively based in the region and to provide citizens with opportunities to enjoy culture and arts.
The children's dance musical, adapted from "Alice in Wonderland," begins with a scene where Alice, enchanted by a mysterious rabbit checking his watch and talking, falls into the storybook of Alice in Wonderland.
There, Alice meets a chubby glowing cat, a hatter addicted to parties, a fierce eccentric Red Queen, and a group of card soldiers following the queen, and through subtle attractions, she discovers another side of herself as the story unfolds.
The performance combines various genres of music and dazzling stage art to offer delightful entertainment, expressing the fantasy world through dance to stimulate children's imagination.
The show lasts 50 minutes and is free for Jeongeup citizens, including kindergarten and elementary school students, on a first-come, first-served basis.
A city official said, "We will continue to prepare diverse cultural performances to satisfy citizens' cultural thirst and strive to improve the development of local culture and arts as well as the quality of life for our citizens."
