Ssangyong Motor Recruiting Participants for 'KG Mobility Tuning Festival'

SsangYong Motor announced on the 17th that it is recruiting participants for the ‘KG Mobility Tuning Festival,’ which will present trends in leisure activities such as car camping and camping to welcome the outdoor spring season, as well as promote a healthy tuning culture.


The event is scheduled to be held for three days from May 4 to 6 at Exhibition Hall 1 of the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul. Participant recruitment will take place over two weeks from today until the 31st. Final participants will be announced on April 5 through a fair screening process aligned with the event’s purpose.


The recruitment targets include ▲business tuning companies currently selling or capable of manufacturing vehicles related to motorhomes (camping cars), outdoor & trailers, off-road & leisure, etc. ▲camping and vehicle goods companies ▲individual customizing participants who want to showcase their old cars or personal vehicles. Business tuning companies or individual customizing participants can apply without restrictions if the tuning or customized products use vehicles produced by SsangYong Motor.


Various benefits will be provided to participants. All participating companies and individuals will receive basic exhibition support and promotional support through SsangYong Motor’s SNS channels. Business tuning companies introducing new items will have their participation fees reduced, while individuals will be exempt from participation fees and receive exhibition cost support. Notably, outstanding companies will be selected as SsangYong Motor’s tuning business partners, offering opportunities to jointly expand new businesses.

During the event, tuning car contests will be held separately for business tuning and individual customizing vehicles on display. The best tuning cars will be selected through on-site voting by visiting customers and online voting. Prizes totaling 12 million KRW will be awarded, with ▲1st place receiving 3 million KRW ▲2nd place 2 million KRW ▲3rd place 1 million KRW.


Admission to the event is free for those who become friends with SsangYong Motor on KakaoTalk. Since the event is held around Children’s Day, various side events for children will be prepared to provide enjoyment.


Kim Kwang-ho, Head of Domestic Business at SsangYong Motor, said, “As an SUV-specialized company, we organized this event to foster a proper automobile tuning culture industry through a distinctive tuning culture festival and to find partners who will create the future as a mobility company together. If the response from participating companies and visitors is positive, we plan to make this an annual regular event rather than a one-time occasion.”
