KOCCA Promotes Activation of Esports for People with Disabilities

Business Agreement between the Korea Paralympic Committee and the Korea Disabled Sports Association

The Korea Creative Content Agency and the Korea Paralympic Committee signed a business agreement on the 16th to promote esports for people with disabilities. They will collaborate on hosting tournaments, research, education, and more to enhance competitiveness. The main points include ▲ joint research and projects related to domestic esports for people with disabilities ▲ support for hosting esports tournaments for people with disabilities and classification ▲ research and projects to register esports as an event in international multi-sport competitions for people with disabilities ▲ educational support for nurturing talent related to esports for people with disabilities. They will also separately discuss ways to promote esports for people with disabilities at the Paris Paralympics next year. A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency stated, "We aim to register esports as an event in comprehensive sports competitions for people with disabilities, such as the Paralympics and the Asian Para Games."
