Starting from the 28th of last month, 51 new employees who passed the competition rate of 50 to 1 began their introductory training at Chicken University to demonstrate their capabilities as franchise experts, covering topics such as the Franchise Business Act, Industrial Safety Act, BBQ marketing, and sales and profit management.

During the humanities education course, several practical training sessions were held, and the 1,000 chickens cooked during these sessions have been used to spread positive influence.

The chickens they made were donated to youth welfare facilities, centers for the disabled, and nursing homes for the elderly in need, and when converted into monetary value, the donations exceed 20 million KRW.

A new employee participating in the training said, "I thought I was simply learning the necessary job skills and how to make chicken, but I was surprised to learn that it is made through scientific methods and a meticulous cooking process. Also, after donating the chicken we made ourselves to places in need, I realized how important the process we are learning is."

Earlier, Chairman Yoon Hong-geun of BBQ declared in his New Year's address that "talent saves companies," announcing a bold 33.5% increase in starting salaries for college graduates as part of talent recruitment efforts. Following this, 2,500 applicants applied for the first half of 2023 new employee recruitment within two weeks, showing a high level of interest with a competition rate of 50:1 for the first time since the company's founding.
