Grandson of Jeon Du-hwan Accused of Crime as Active Duty Officer
Ministry of National Defense to Verify Alleged Active Duty Soldier
Jeon Du-hwan, the grandson of former President Jeon Du-hwan, has identified an acquaintance as a criminal, and it has been reported that one of them is a currently serving officer, prompting the military authorities to verify the facts.
On the 15th, the Ministry of National Defense stated regarding the criminal allegations made through a video, "We plan to verify the facts concerning the active-duty military personnel accused of criminal conduct in the video." Fact verification is a preliminary investigation before formal charges are filed.
Previously, in a video posted on social networking services (SNS), Mr. Jeon revealed that Officer A was a serious criminal who used cocaine and powerful drugs and had even encouraged him to use drugs, while Officer B was described as a "fraudster and sex offender" who had a history of taking photos and videos of women without their consent.
Both are known to be Air Force lieutenants. Lieutenant A is reported to be serving at the Ministry of National Defense, and Lieutenant B is serving in an Air Force unit.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that the officers targeted by the allegations may file defamation charges against Mr. Jeon.
