Gwangyang Economic Zone Authority Holds On-site Meeting with Foreign-invested Companies in Gwangyang Bay Area

Special Lecture on HR and Labor for Foreign Companies, Education on the Labor Standards Act

The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Song Sang-rak, hereinafter GFEZ Authority) announced that on the 14th, it held the <2023 KOTRA-GFEZ Foreign-Invested Companies On-Site Meeting> at the Rakhee Hotel in Gwangyang City, with the participation of about 10 foreign-invested companies (hereinafter foreign-invested companies) including Gwangyang Aluminum and ㈜EEDoubleUKAHPsi.


This meeting, targeted at foreign-invested companies located in the Gwangyang Bay Area, invited a human resources and labor affairs officer from the KOTRA Comprehensive Administrative Support Center to provide a special lecture and Q&A session on human resources, labor affairs, and the Labor Standards Act, which could be of practical help to foreign-invested companies.

A representative from a foreign-invested company participating in the meeting expressed, "It was a valuable time to learn about practical matters related to human resources, labor affairs, and the Labor Standards Act."


An official from the GFEZ Authority stated, "Following the positive response to the customs special lecture by the Gwangju Main Customs Office last December, we promoted this special lecture on human resources and labor affairs, and we will continue to expand to areas such as immigration visas, tax accounting, and environment that help the management of foreign-invested companies."
