Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Generative Artificial Intelligence Innovation Forum' on the 20th at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Auditorium to expand opportunities for industries and residents through generative artificial intelligence (AI) and to safely utilize innovative technologies.
Generative artificial intelligence is an AI technology that learns autonomously using new data and information to achieve human-specified goals and creatively generates results. Chat GPT, which has recently gained attention, is also a type of generative AI.
This opportunity Gyeonggi Innovation Forum, the first of its kind by a local government targeting residents on 'generative artificial intelligence,' will feature experts from various fields such as ethics, startups, and education sharing knowledge under the theme "Changes and Opportunities in the Era of Generative Artificial Intelligence."
The detailed presentations include ▲The Impact and New Opportunities of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Professor Jang Dae-ik, Gachon University) ▲Limitations, Ethics, and Social Issues of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Han Sang-gi, CEO of Tech Frontier) ▲Strategies for Utilizing Generative Artificial Intelligence and Chat GPT (Professor Choi Jae-sik, KAIST) ▲Talent and Business in the Era of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Professor Cha Kyung-jin, Hanyang University).
After the presentations, a panel discussion will follow, moderated by Lee Won-jae, Policy Advisor of Gyeonggi Province, with participation from the presenters, Yoon Seok-won, CEO of Testworks Co., Ltd., and Lee Soo-jae, Director of AI Big Data Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province.
The panel discussion will focus on how to apply generative artificial intelligence across various industries and expand opportunities for residents.
The forum is open to participation through pre-registration on the Gyeonggi Province website. For residents who find it difficult to attend in person, the event will be broadcast live simultaneously on the official YouTube channel (live.gg.go.kr).
Kim Hyun-dae, Director of the Future Growth Industry Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Gyeonggi Province will proactively establish policies and seek innovative development plans to ensure that generative artificial intelligence is safely and effectively integrated into residents' lives and administration."
Earlier, on the 2nd of last month, Governor Kim Dong-yeon announced via his social media (SNS) that "we will officially start the 'Gyeonggi GPT' initiative." At the provincial government meeting held on the 23rd of last month, he also mentioned Chat GPT and proposed, "Let's apply it first to the Gyeonggi provincial administration, even on a small scale."
Accordingly, this month, the province plans to form a dedicated 'Gyeonggi GPT' task force (TF) led by the First Deputy Governor of Administration and conduct a proposal contest on GPT utilization plans for the provincial government and all affiliated institutions' employees.
