Gwangju Bank Extends 'Lucky Savings Preferential Interest Rate Event'

Gwangju Bank announced on the 14th that it will extend the event offering an additional 10%p (points) annual preferential interest rate on the ‘Haengun Savings’ until September 3.

Launched last September and gaining popularity by surpassing 20,000 accounts within two months, the ‘Haengun Savings’ is a non-face-to-face exclusive product that can be easily subscribed to using Gwangju Bank’s personal banking app (APP) or mobile web banking without visiting a branch.

Every Monday, a lucky number consisting of a random combination of six digits is assigned, and a draw is held on Friday for the assigned lucky numbers. Accounts that win the draw receive an additional 10%p annual preferential interest rate.

If selected in the lucky number draw and subscribed to the one-year fixed installment savings, customers can receive a high interest rate of 13.7% per annum (13.4% per annum for flexible installment savings). Additionally, the fun element of the lucky number draw has received great customer response.

Gwangju Bank originally planned to run the ‘FUN & Lucky Preferential Interest Rate Event,’ which offers an additional 10%p annual preferential interest rate through the draw, only until March 12 this year. However, due to continuous customer interest and support, the bank decided to hold a second event and extend it until September 3.

The event method remains the same as the first event: every Monday, a lucky number consisting of a random combination of six digits is assigned, and a draw is held every Friday for the assigned lucky numbers. Accounts that win the draw will receive an additional 10%p annual preferential interest rate. A total of 250 winning accounts will be selected by September 8.

Additionally, as in the previous season, the ‘Spread the Word about Haengun Savings and Get More Dream’ event is also being held. By clicking the ‘Spread the Word and Get More Lucky Numbers’ button at the bottom of the Haengun Savings status board in Gwangju Bank’s personal banking app (APP) and mobile web banking, customers can share via KakaoTalk or text message with acquaintances. This sharing provides up to four additional lucky number sets (each set consisting of six digits) per week for the chance to win the 10%p preferential interest rate.
