Business Agreement Between Gyeongnam Assistive Device Center and Partners
Changwon National University is contributing to assistive device services for people with disabilities in Gyeongnam Province.
On the 14th, the university announced that the Department of Special Education, Special Education Center, and Maker Agit Fab Lab Changwon Center at Changwon National University signed a business agreement with the Gyeongnam Assistive Device Center.
The agreement was established to share information for providing assistive device services to people with disabilities in the Gyeongnam area, exchange information to strengthen the capabilities of professionals, and build a cooperative system.
The institutions agreed to collaborate on ▲development and operation of customized assistive devices for people with disabilities ▲cooperation in online and offline events, development of programs and projects such as education and field trips ▲field training and volunteer activities.

Choi Jin-oh, head of the Department of Special Education, said, “Let us join forces to improve the lives of people with disabilities in the Gyeongnam region and create a community-linked education model that can strengthen the field capabilities of special education students, who are prospective special education teachers.”
Lee Byung-hoon, director of the Fab Lab Changwon Center, said, “Our Maker Agit will carry out various community contribution activities, including nurturing local talent and volunteering, through assistive device development and entrepreneurship education in cooperation with the provincial assistive device center.”
Ryu Hak-gi, director of the Gyeongnam Assistive Device Center, said, “I hope this agreement will greatly help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities,” and added, “I expect our agreement to produce good results and become a cooperative model that can be expanded to other cities and provinces.”
