These include ▲20 projects supporting marriage, pregnancy, and childbirth ▲22 projects supporting infants, children, and adolescents ▲23 projects supporting youth and middle-aged adults ▲16 projects supporting the elderly ▲17 projects supporting return-to-farming, return-to-village, and multicultural families ▲and 29 other support projects.

The county provides newlywed couples with a marriage congratulatory fund of 4 million KRW. Eligible couples are those with at least one spouse under 49 years old at the time of marriage registration, and the support is paid in installments over three years.

Parents of infants and young children receive parental benefits ranging from 350,000 to 700,000 KRW per month for ages 0 to 1, with the amount varying depending on facility usage.

Children under 8 years old receive a monthly child allowance of 100,000 KRW, and childcare services are also provided up to age 12.

The ‘Enrollment Congratulatory Fund for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students,’ a pledge project of Jangseong-gun’s 8th local government administration, is also noteworthy. New students in elementary, middle, and high schools receive 100,000 to 300,000 KRW in local currency, the Jangseong Sarang Gift Certificate.

In the second half of the year, after consultation with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, a youth allowance of 70,000 to 100,000 KRW annually will also be provided.

Social services are also offered through the ‘5060 New Middle-aged Career-type Job Project,’ which hires retired professionals aged 50 to under 70.

Residents aged 65 and older receive an annual filial piety voucher worth 180,000 KRW, which can be used for bathing and hairdressing services. There are plans to expand the scope and amount of usage in the future.

Additionally, various supports for elderly residents have been prepared, including cataract surgery fees, shingles vaccinations, dementia screening, and treatment costs.

A county official stated, “We will continue to make multifaceted efforts so that anyone can easily find and benefit from the various population policies being promoted by the county.”
