Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is operating a return-to-farming and rural migration course for 15 new students of the Agricultural College to support the smooth settlement of returnees and migrants in rural areas and to enhance their agricultural knowledge.
The return-to-farming and rural migration course will begin with an entrance ceremony on March 14 and will provide education on the basics of agriculture and agricultural product sales over a total of 20 sessions and 100 hours until the end of November.
This year, recognizing the importance of return-to-farming and rural migration, the Agricultural College established this course. The curriculum includes basic knowledge that new farmers need to have, such as soil management, agricultural product sales strategies, and pest and disease control. In particular, the education will focus on responding to changes in the agricultural environment.
Lee Yoon-chil, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “I sincerely congratulate the 19th class of the Agricultural College’s return-to-farming and rural migration course. I hope you will make every effort to firmly establish yourselves as farmers in Yeongyang-gun through successful return-to-farming and rural migration and lead a happy life.”
