The preference-tailored AI copywriter, based on an engine developed in-house by the CJ AI Center, is a program that automatically generates copy phrases for marketing campaigns by simply inputting basic promotion information, creating phrases suitable for the customer’s preferences. This is the industry’s first case of using generative AI to produce advertising copy tailored to customer preferences.

For customers with idealistic and emotional tendencies, it suggests conversational and metaphorical expressions, while for customers with realistic and rational tendencies, it proposes phrases that emphasize product effects and quantifiable information. Marketers can combine or modify these in various ways to use them for app push notifications, email subject lines, and more. CJ expects this to reduce working hours, enable focus on creative tasks, improve work efficiency, and achieve tangible results.

The CJ AI Center plans to advance the service through big data learning across various categories such as food, beauty, fashion, and entertainment, additional customer preference analysis, and automatic learning reflecting user feedback. It also intends to segment functions by marketing channels such as app push, mobile messages, and emails, and gradually apply foreign languages to utilize the service in global marketing.

Lee Chi-hoon, CJ CDO and AI Center Director, said, “CJ possesses big data reflecting numerous experiences and tastes across diverse business areas such as shopping, logistics, and cultural content, and will use this to build smarter AI utilization models. We also plan to expand education for employees to enable more efficient use of AI technology in actual work.”
