The two organizations agreed to actively collaborate by conducting joint investigations on electrical fire sites to identify the causes of fires, sharing safety management technologies for electrical facilities, and implementing measures to reduce fire damage.

In particular, they reached a consensus to work on reducing electrical fires and minimizing damage through safety technology education for renewable energy fire reduction and biannual meetings.

Chief Hong Young-geun stated, “Recently, there has been growing interest in disasters with significant damage relative to their scale, such as energy storage systems (ESS) at solar and wind power plants and electric vehicle fires,” adding, “We expect this business agreement to play a major role in reducing electrical fires and minimizing damage.”
