Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, was selected as the 'Best' institution in the 2023 Local Tax Administration Comprehensive Evaluation conducted by Gyeongsangnam-do.
Along with the Governor's Institutional Commendation, it secured a special adjustment grant of 300 million KRW as a financial incentive.

This evaluation was based on 22 items across 8 areas of local tax administration work, including local tax imposition and collection, arrears management, and local tax review and investigation during the year 2022.
As a new local tax policy in 2022, the county provided a 'Post-Notification Service for Real Estate Acquisition Tax Reduction' and postal and text message services to ensure that no subjects were subject to additional tax collection.
They took the lead in taxpayer-centered tax administration services by sending advance self-report payment notices to new real estate acquirers, reducing the burden of additional taxes.
In addition, they received high marks for promoting advanced administrative tasks such as ▲ awarding commendations to diligent taxpayers on Taxpayer's Day ▲ introducing and operating an arrears notification system for vehicles entering the county office building, establishing an efficient collection system for delinquent vehicles.
A county official said, “The honor of winning for 12 consecutive years is the result of the mature taxpaying consciousness of the residents and the best efforts in work despite difficult conditions such as economic recession and a decrease in real estate transactions. We will continue to strive to provide the best tax administration services that satisfy residents, as well as to secure stable independent financial resources and realize equitable taxation.”
