The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation presented a plaque of appreciation to Yeoju City for its active support in funding for small and medium-sized enterprises.
On the 13th, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee announced that it delivered a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju City at the mayor's office in Yeoju City Hall for his active efforts in securing funding, which contributed to alleviating financial difficulties for local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.
Last year, Yeoju City contributed 3.454 billion KRW as special guarantee funds for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.
This amount is four times the 900 million KRW requested by Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee. Notably, it is the highest special guarantee contribution compared to the requested amount among the 31 cities and counties in the province.
Yeoju City greatly expanded the special guarantee funds to ease the financial difficulties of local businesses and effectively utilized them, earning strong support from the local community.
Si Seok-jung, Chairman of Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee, said, "Even in these difficult times of complex crises, we thank Yeoju City for focusing its administrative capabilities on revitalizing the local economy and supporting about 18,000 businesses in Yeoju." He added, "Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee will also work tirelessly with Yeoju City to provide swift and active financial support to guarantee the 'happiness' of Yeoju’s businesses."
Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju City emphasized, "Last year was a meaningful year for Yeoju’s efforts to stabilize the people’s economy, including the establishment of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Yeoju branch and the opening of the Yeoju Small Business Support Center." He added, "We will continue to do our best to realize regional economic recovery through deregulation and citizen-centered policies."
