Doosan Construction Launches Wib Golf Team

On the 13th, Doosan Construction held an inauguration ceremony at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam, Seoul, and unveiled its affiliated players. The team recruited five players including Lim Hee-jung, who has won a total of five victories including two majors on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour; Park Kyul, winner of the SK Networks·Seoul Economic Daily Ladies Classic; Yoo Hyo-ju, winner of the Women’s Championship; the ‘beauty golfer’ Yoo Hyun-joo; and national representative Kim Min-sol.

Yoo Hyun-joo, the ‘eldest sister’ playing on this year’s Dream (2nd division) Tour, said, "I want to create a new turning point as a golf player," and added, "I will do my best with the goal of advancing to the regular tour next year." Park Kyul, the 2014 Asian Games gold medalist, said, "I am starting a new journey with Doosan Construction," and expressed hope that "this season will be a momentum for a comeback."

Lee Jung-hwan, CEO of Doosan Construction, promised, "We will actively support our players to become the best representatives of golf both domestically and internationally," and added, "We will do our best to become the top prestigious team." Doosan Construction will accumulate donations whenever its affiliated players make birdies, eagles, or holes-in-one in official tournaments. Since its founding in 1960, Doosan Construction has focused on construction projects and has built a strong track record in architecture, housing, and civil engineering.
