Proposal to Expand Tax Support for Companies Introducing Business Restructuring
On the morning of the 13th, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam held a meeting with Jang Il-hyun, the head of the Busan Regional Tax Office, at the third-floor members' meeting room of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
About 20 people attended the meeting, including Gu Ja-cheon, chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce, members of the chamber, Jang Il-hyun, head of the Busan Regional Tax Office, Han Jae-hyun, director of the Honest Taxpayer Support Bureau, Cheon Yong-wook, head of the Corporate Tax Division, Jeong Young-bae, head of the Masan Tax Office, and Lee Kwang-ho, head of the Changwon Tax Office.

The Busan Regional Tax Office explained this year’s operational directions, including the timing selection system for tax audits and the expansion of simplified audits, followed by guidance on major tax administration support policies such as ▲business succession tax consulting ▲pre-review of R&D tax credits ▲corporate tax credit and exemption consulting.
In the subsequent meeting, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry proposed ▲expanding tax support for ESG management companies ▲expanding tax support for business transformation (restructuring) companies ▲expanding the scope of companies subject to the legal tax audit period ▲realizing tax relief targets for business succession ▲extending the tax audit cycle for long-established companies ▲providing predictability in business management through tax law simplification ▲simplifying tax audits for listed companies.
Chairman Gu said at the meeting, “Despite the difficulties in the domestic and international economic environment, various investment factors continue to emerge in corporate activities such as ESG management and business restructuring,” adding, “Communication opportunities like today’s will greatly help in preparing effective tax administration support that can assist companies and small business owners facing difficulties.”
Director Jang said, “I thank the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and local businesspeople who are quietly contributing to the national economy through job creation and sincere tax payments despite the difficult economic conditions,” and added, “We will actively reflect the discussions from today’s meeting in tax administration and provide maximum support for revitalizing the Changwon regional economy from the tax administration perspective.”
