Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 13th that it ranked first in the '2022 Shared Property Management Autonomous District Evaluation' and was selected as the 'Best Institution.'

Seo-gu received the highest scores for preventing unauthorized occupation of shared properties, imposing and collecting compensation fees, and sales performance through efficient operation, along with an evaluation that it contributed to the sound development of local finances.

In addition, Seo-gu will receive a subsidy of 11.8 million KRW for shared property management and a benefit of a 30% attribution rate of sales proceeds.

Currently, the management policy of shared properties is shifting from passive management and operation to active property management aimed at expanding local finances, thereby broadening the scope of management.

Seo-gu established a fund to use revenue such as disposal and leasing, which were previously used as expenditure budgets, for the future supply and development of shared properties.

It is also striving to establish an efficient management system in the property management field by operating the 'Shared Property Specialized Management Project,' a shared property status survey cooperation project provided by the Korea Local Finance Guarantee Corporation.

Mayor Kim Ikang of Seo-gu said, "While it is necessary to maximize the utilization of shared properties at the present time, it is also necessary to respond to the reduction of physical assets," adding, "We will do our best to secure shared properties for future generations through balanced supply and development of shared properties."
