Ssangyong Motor Completes Hiring of 53 New and Experienced Employees After 3 Years

Ssangyong Motor announced on the 13th that it has newly started as a family company of KG Group and has hired talent to join the challenge of becoming a future mobility company.


Ssangyong Motor's new recruitment is the first in three years since 2020. The recruitment announcement was held for 14 days from January 20 to February 2. The hiring mainly focused on research and development (R&D) personnel for future automobile research and development.


A total of 53 new and experienced employees were hired this time. More than 5,000 talented individuals with passion and expertise to start anew with Ssangyong Motor applied, showing a competition ratio of 100 to 1. The company plans to continue hiring excellent talent in the second half of the year as well.


The newly hired employees will be assigned to their respective departments and, as part of new employee training, will receive product education and gain various experiences by working as on-site staff at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, which Ssangyong Motor is participating in for the first time in four years since 2019.

Ssangyong Motor is preparing various measures for development as a future mobility company along with the new workforce recruitment and its new start with KG Group.


Last month, it signed an MOU with the Korea Automotive Technology Institute to actively cooperate in core technology research related to eco-friendly and future vehicles such as ▲electric vehicles ▲hybrid cars ▲autonomous vehicles ▲connected cars. In line with the paradigm shift in the automobile market, it plans to expand R&D investment in eco-friendly and future vehicles and secure future growth engines.


Ssangyong Motor stated, “We will continuously recruit outstanding talent who will be the driving force for future growth and development,” and added, “In particular, we plan to expand R&D investment in future vehicles and secure future growth engines to inherit and develop Ssangyong Motor’s unique heritage as an authentic sports utility vehicle (SUV) brand.”
