Organoid specialist company Organoid Science announced on the 13th that it will hold the ‘The New Era of Science, ORGANOID’ global symposium on the 29th at the international conference room of CHA Bio Complex in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

The symposium, hosted and organized by Organoid Science and co-organized by CHA Group Organoid Center and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s 3D Bio-Tissue Chip Project Group, is the 6th edition since its inception in 2018, covering the latest trends in organoids. With the recent removal of the mandatory animal testing clause by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), interest in organoids, which are the most human-representative alternative to animal testing methods, is growing. Accordingly, this year’s event is designed not to introduce organoid research cases but to serve as a forum for discussion on the utilization and methodologies for the pharmaceutical and bio industries.

Nineteen domestic and international experts will give lectures in various fields. The program is divided into four sessions: ‘Disease Modeling and New Drug Development Using Organoids,’ ‘Organoid Research Using Spatial Biology,’ ‘Organoid Regenerative Therapeutics,’ and ‘Organoid-Based Precision Medicine and Tumor Biology.’ Participation can be registered in advance through the official website or QR code.

Yoo Jong-man, CEO of Organoid Science, said, “By holding the symposium annually, we have aimed to expand beyond research and development (R&D) to various aspects such as commercialization cases incorporating organoid technology, collaboration with organoid R&D companies, and convergence with related fields.” He added, “This event will prove that our organoid technology is competitive on a global scale.”
